Very excited (and a little apprehensive, to be honest) about my latest work project! Throughout the year, the university runs various social events for students and staff and this Halloween they want to host an interactive escape room / murder mystery-type affair based on campus. And I’m writing it!
I’m no stranger to writing mysteries, creating quirky characters and weaving stories – but this is very different from anything I’ve done before. I’ve got real-life locations to play with, technology and multimedia elements to incorporate- not to mention devising actual puzzles and clues that need to both work in practice but also move the story along as well as imparting some of the rich history of Northampton. So excited and apprehensive is very apt, I’d say, and exactly how one should feel about a new project. Wish me luck!
