The cast of characters are amazing in their scope and feel very real as I read.
By the sound of things the real Head Porter was “a bit of a character”. I’ve experienced this myself in the past more than once and usually they can’t deal with people who stand up to them…..good for you! 😊
‘Bit of a character’ suggests there was at least something about him, which is generous to say the least. You know what they say – the truth always comes out eventually 😉

I am pleased too! In the first book, Head Porter started out being a bit of a baddie like the original, but now he has evolved into the more lovable buffoon we know and adore! And yes – my magical history-writing pen is at work, so the other probably doesn’t even exist anymore anyway 🙂
