Indeed, dining rooms for all. As a child we had a house with a lovely old dining room. The place was built in the 1920’s so had lovely alcoves. I remember reading at the oak table in that room. Happy memories. On a humorous note (as a rather small boy I hasten to add) I remember getting the family labrador to climb up on the table and lie on the table cloth. The things that amuse children … There was no food on the table at the time, just a lace cloth …

I imagine that was very entertaining for a small boy! Actually, I find it quite funny now. Luckily my mum doesn’t have a dog, or this would have given me ideas…

A double take – a question and a query from me! Whatever next – a walk on role in the movie – I’d make a good corpse after this more likely! What can I say – a little artistic license but hey quite acceptable young lady – up all night with you – lets not go there (or there, or there – I hear you!). A fan of the PorterGirl Novels, all evidence says I am – yet, as you’ve long known Lucy, more a belief in you and (almost) all you do. Michael Portillo – makes me think of roles for other moonlighting politicians, Ed Balls, a certain charm, maybe sign up as Porter – Nick Clegg can see him as the Bursar – and to stretch all credibility David Cameron as the Dean – and on that disturbing note I’ll take my leave … Eric.

I couldn’t resist an ‘up all night’ reference, my dearest Eric! Let the readers wonder, eh?
Now – I rather like this idea of roles for ex-politicians. Ed Balls would be a brilliant Porter, wouldn’t he?! And Cleggy as the Bursar – I can really see it! He would need a wig to pull off the odd haircut. Giggling away at the thought of Call Me Dave as The Dean. Of course, you know that The Dean would be furious at such a suggestion!
